After a loss against defending champions Uzbekistan, the India Under-23 colts will be in a do-or-die situation against Tajikistan in the ongoing AFC U-23 Championship, here on Sunday. After displaying good skill in the first 45 minutes, the Indian boys went down 0-3 against Uzbekistan on Friday. India coach Derrick Pereira said: “It’s a crucial game. It’s more important given the current standing of the table. You might say it’s do-or-die for us. We’ll surely try to put in our best performance and see what awaits us.”

Paine comes out to bat with single batting glove
Australia Test skipper Tim Paine forgot one of his batting glove in the dressing room while walking out to bat for Tasmania in a Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales. While representing Tasmania in Australia’s domestic first-class match, Paine came out to bat wearing just one glove in the first innings. However, after realising the mistake, the Aussie skipper went towards the boundary rope and someone from the dressing room threw the glove towards him. Paine could only contribute six runs in the innings. Earlier, Pakistan-born Australian cricketer Fawad Ahmed had forgotten to carry his bat while going for batting in a Sheffield Shield match. Later, Fawad had came out to bat with wrong gloves.

AIFF won't reschedule Super Cup qualifying round
The I-League clubs stuck to their demand of rescheduling the Super Cup qualifying round matches but the All India Football Federation rejected it yet again, saying that the main round of the tournament will start as planned from March 29. On Friday, AIFF general secretary Kushal Das had informed the I-League clubs that the federation has accepted their demand of a meeting with AIFF president Praful Patel to discuss their grievances but made it clear that the Super Cup qualifying round matches will not be rescheduled. Das had said that the rescheduling of the qualifying round will be against the tournament rules and would be unfair to those clubs which turned up.

First ODI: Australia beat Pakistan by eight wickets
Australia captain Aaron Finch scored a century as they beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the first ODI. Chasing 281 to win, the tourists reached their target with an over to spare with Finch making 116 and Shaun Marsh unbeaten on 91.
