Kolkata
Kolkata Police has been using Ravichandran Ashwin’s Mankaded dismissal of Jos Buttler to drive home a message about safe driving. Kolkata Police posted a photo on Twitter showing Ashwin running Buttler out, along with the photo of a vehicle crossing a traffic line, with the caption: “Crease or road, you will regret, if you cross the line.” It drew a lot of attention on the social media and was shared multiple times. This is not the first time Kolkata Police used an incident from the cricket field to promote a safe driving campaign. When Cheteshwar Pujara scored his first Test hundred in Australia in December last year, Kolkata Police clubbed his celebration picture with a picture of a person wearing the seat belt while driving his car, with the caption: “Defence should be like Pujara.”
