Gurnaaz Kaur
Born and raised in Shimla, Ritika Shyam has been pursuing modelling as a profession in Chandigarh since 2015. After having been featured in many music videos, a number of photoshoots and a calendar shoot, she has finally bagged a role in a Punjabi film.
How did you get your first assignment?
I was contacted for my first assignment when I participated in Miss Shimla and bagged Miss Perfect.
Which has been the most interesting shoot so far?
The most interesting shoot so far...It was my first one with all the new experiences, getting all the attention on the sets and facing cameras and of course, my dream coming true.
If you had a chance, which designer you would want to walk the ramp for?
If I had a chance, I would like to walk the ramp for Anamika Khanna, because her outfits have a touch of tradition with a sense of modern style.
If not modelling, then...
A dietitian as I’ve studied it.
Current favourite style?
Anything with sneakers. I can literally live in my white shoes. I don’t think they are ever going to go out of style.
A fashion tip for youngsters...
Never be afraid to try things out, you’ve still got time.
Your daily routine look is...
If it was possible my daily routine would be me in sweats all the time, but that’s not the case. You’ll probably see me in high-waist jeans, crop top and white shoes.
Healthy snacks you munch on...
Definitely fruits, high in fiber and low in calories.
To a formal dinner you’ll wear...
I would wear a bodycon dress with heels and a jacket over my shoulders.
Must-haves in your wardrobe…
That’s difficult, I buy almost everything and anything but leather jacket in winter and crop tops in summer.
In casuals, your pick would be...
A basic tee with blue jeans.
Your favourite model/actor/ actress and why?
Sushmita Sen because of her independent personality and how she fought for her daughters against the world.
You aspire to be...
A good person and have a never-give-up attitude.
