Prime Minister Narendra Modi today attacked “mahagathbandhan”, saying the Congress had announced in its poll manifesto to repeal the “laws of the sedition” curbing terror and Naxal activities if it was voted to power.
Addressing a rally in Koderma, Modi said: “Congress has announced that it will repeal the laws of sedition. Consequently, it will be difficult to act against those who have been bolstering their support to Naxals if such laws are repealed. It is your chowkidar who would not spare any of such persons. Either surgical strike or airstrike, we kill them inside their home.”
Modi said Congress did not want a strong government at the Centre. “Congress formed alliances to keep former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee out of power years ago as it wanted to play games from the backseat. Governments and PMs kept on changing as it used to withdraw support. As a result of this, development works got obstructed,” Modi claimed.
“If mahamilawati grand alliance comes to power, peace will be in danger. Umakant G and several others had to desert his villages fearing Naxal attacks but they have now seen the light of bulbs. Such deserted villages have again started to return to their track of development,” Modi claimed.
He also took on CM HD Kumaraswamy as he had once allegedly said those who did not get two square meals a day joined Army. “Is it not an insult for those bravehearts?” he said.
