Where are you going to end the series?

The series will end when I and Daniel (Sunny’s husband) land in India for Big Boss show. Kids are not a part of the series as of now. May be if ZEE5 decides to launch another season of the show, then their story can also be told.

Why did you choose to make a digital series? Why not a biopic for the silver screen?

We decided to go for a digital show so that we can showcase the full story instead of sections of my life. People loved watching it on digital medium. Even personally, I watch only digital shows. I like the fact that characters in digital shows are multi-layered. Also, there is a freedom of content without censor.

How smooth has been your Bollywood journey?

Whenever you enter a new industry or a new business, it’s never a smooth ride. For the first two-three years in the industry, I was trying to figure out how the industry works, what to do, what not to do. Once a director changed my lines after I rehearsed. But I couldn’t do anything. So I had to develop that patience.

What has been the turning point of your career?

When I shot the song Baby Doll; that was an extreme high point of my career. And, also the song Laila Main Laila with Shah Rukh Khan for Raees.

Did you ever face nepotism?

I am not in the same circle as some actors and actresses are. I have created my own circle of people with whom I work. Nepotism or no nepotism, I am on my own.

Any plans to do a Punjabi film?

Yes, of course! In fact, I recently had heard a script. Let’s see if it gets finalised.

Do you plan to start a new business venture?

I already have a perfume line and a cosmetic line. We have launched our production house and will soon start shoot of our first Bollywood film. Then we are planning to produce TV shows as well.

Being a Punjabi, what is that one thing you love about Punjab?

I love dhabas on the highway. I am a foodie!

Which place would you love to visit for a vacation?

My mother is from a small town called Nahan in Himachal Pradesh. I hope to go there soon with my family.
