After his recent, successful, outing on college teen drama Punchbeat, Priyank Sharma is now testing fresh waters. He has begun training in Beatboxing, a form of vocal percussion that involves an art of mimicking drum machines. Priyank, who began his career from a dating reality show, entered Bigg Boss as a celebrity contestant. He has become a favourite face for music singles and was last in Neha Kakkar’s romantic number.
“It’s not just a fad or trying to be a part of a trend, in fact I’ve been watching Beatboxers online since I was in the 12th grade, which is about nine years ago. I just never paid enough attention to it. Beatboxing always excited me because of its unique style of creating music. Justin Timberlake and Jay Sean have been my idols.”
