Vidya to play Indira

Vidya Balan was last seen in the Telugu film, NTR: Mahanayakudu. There have been reports that Vidya will be playing the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her biopic. On Tuesday, at an event in Mumbai, the actress cleared the air and revealed that she is indeed considering to play the character but for a web series.

Vidya said, “I am trying to do a web series which will be based on the life of Indira Gandhiji. As of now, we are trying to do it, but let’s see how it takes shape.” 

About trying her hand at the digital platform, Vidya said that it involves a lot of work. The actress added, “So, it takes a lot of time. But when I will do it, I will make sure that it turns out really well.”
