It was the day of elections in Mumbai on Monday. Amongst others, Bollywood celebrities too rushed to polling booths to cast their votes for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. One of the celebs who made an early appearance at the polling booth was none other than Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The actress is currently in Mumbai to fulfil her duties as an Indian citizen. Post casting the vote, Priyanka took to Instagram and shared a selfie flaunting her inked finger. She wrote, “This is the moment that matters.... Every vote is a voice that counts.”
On the other side, making a stylish entry was Kareena Kapoor Khan, who stepped out to cast her vote with son Taimur Ali Khan. After casting her vote, Bebo posed showing her inked picture to the shutterbugs. Other celebs like who were spotted voting were Kangana Ranaut, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Varun Dhawan with dad David Dhawan, Aamir Khan with wife Kiran Rao, Sonali Bendre with husband Goldie Behl, Rekha, Sonu Sood, Dia Mirza, Emraan Haashmi, Ajay Devgn. Divya Dutta and many more.
Besides casting their own votes, many celebs also took to social media to urge youngsters and first-time voters to exercise their right. Farhan Akhtar posted a selfie on his Instagram and wrote, “Do the right thing. Go VOTE. #greatest democracy in the world #citizen #lovemyIndia.” Malaika Arora too posted her picture on Instagram with caption, “VOTE MUMBAI !!!!!! #loksabhaelections2019.”
