Alliance’s every vote will go to Gandhis: Maya

Lucknow, May 5

On the eve of elections in the Congress bastions of Rae Bareli and Amethi, BSP national president Mayawati today strongly came out in support of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

She declared that every vote of the SP-BSP-RLD “mahagathbandhan” in these two constituencies would go to the Congress. The BSP alone had a vote share of around 22-23 per cent in these constituencies, she claimed. “Our voter is silent who makes little noise, but understands the signal of its leader and dutifully follows it,” she claimed.

She hit out at PM Modi over his “divide and rule policy”. He had said the SP was deceiving Mayawati by having a soft corner for the Congress. — TNS
