Cannes 2019: Nick joins Priyanka , Deepika in Lime Green, Hina Launches her film's poster, Kangana is a princess
Cannes, May 18
Singer-actor Nick Jonas was not able to join his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas for her debut appearance at the red carpet of the 72nd edition of Cannes Film Festival, but he arrived in time to accompany her on the second day of the gala.
The two were spotted walking hand-in-hand in the French city on Friday, creating couple goals like always.
The ‘Quantico’ actress even took to Instagram to share a few photographs of herself with her beau.
"My happiness begins with you, Nick," Priyanka captioned one of the images in which she is seen leaning her head on Nick's shoulder.
After getting papped in the afternoon, the couple made the heads turn later at Chopard's party with their glamorous looks.
Priyanka wore a short purple dress along with silver jewellery for the party, while Nick looked dapper in black suit.
Known for their PDA, Priyanka also uploaded a video of herself kissing Nick in a car, calling it a "fun shit".
On the hand, Actress Deepika Padukone had made another stunning appearance on the red carpet of the 72nd edition of Cannes Film Festival.
Deepika was seen in a ruffled lime green Giambattista Valli gown with a train.
Pairing it with a baby pink headband and a matching bow, Deepika made sure all eyes were on her as arrived for the screening of Dolor Y Gloria (Pain and Glory) at the event.
Back home, husband Ranveer Singh couldn’t help being blown away by her look. Deepika shared first pictures of her look on her Instagram account with the caption: “Living a Lime Green Life...#Cannes2019.”
To which, Ranveer replied: “Nuts” in the comments section.
In response to another picture showing her long train as she climbed the stairs, Ranveer wrote: “UN FREAKING REAL.”
Praising Deepika’s smiling closeup picture, Ranveer commented, “Wow ....... I mean ..... WOW !!!!!!!!!!!|” and wrote “Hahahahahahaah yeeeeehaaaaaaah baby let em know” on a post showing Deepika striking a candid pose.
After attracting eyeballs for her Cannes debut, TV star Hina Khan launched the poster of her first film "Lines", which is set in the backdrop of the Kargil War, at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.
The poster launch took place at the festival's India Pavilion on Friday after which Hina, dressed in a chic green outfit, gave a talk along with the ‘Lines’ team on stage.
The poster that has Hina's face with maps of India and Pakistan in the background, gives away the theme of the film.
‘Lines’ depicts the story of a strong young woman portrayed by Hina living on the country's border (LoC) with special emphasis on her struggle and problems of daily life.
"Emotions don't change because of the borders in between, the life and plight of Nazia is a simple portrayal of any girl who faces the magnitude of ordinary challenges in a not so ordinary story."
"'Lines' is my debut in films," she captioned the poster, which she shared on Instagram on Friday as well.
‘Lines’, a film by Hussain Khan, is produced by Rahat Kazmi, Tariq Khan, Zeba Sajid and co-produced by Jayant Jaiswal's Hiro Faar Better Films.
Actress Kangana Ranaut looked no less than a princess out of a fairytale in a stunning pink and lavender hued trailed gown at the ongoing 72nd Cannes Film Festival.
After flaunting bold looks, the ‘Queen’ star opted for a stunning soft and feminine gown by Filipino fashion designer Micheal Cinco.
But what really caught the eye was her beautiful long embellished trail.
"I am wearing a Michael Cinco Couture gown, with pink and lavender hues and it's jewelled. It is very structured but at the same time, it has an absolutely romantic vibe to it. It is fierce and translucent but has a romantic vibe," Kangana, who is here courtesy a brand association with Grey Goose, said in a statement.
The 32-year-old actress completed her look with Chopard jewels, soft curls and minimal make-up.
Talking about her look, she said: "The hair is very romantic and regal and the make-up is also soft and we didn't create contrast. I have never done softer looks, I have never done pink for any red carpet and it's not my colour, so for me, it's a definition of a risk."
Kangana made a smashing red carpet appearance with a classic Kanjeevaram saree paired with a corset, followed by an edgy Nedret Taciroglu pant-suit for an after a party. — IANS
