DU teachers condemn PM’s Rajiv remark

Over 200 Delhi University teachers have issued a public statement condemning the PM for making “derogatory and untrue” remark against ex-PM Rajiv Gandhi.   

Modi had in a rally on Saturday targeted Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on the Rafale issue and said “your father was termed ‘Mr Clean’ by his courtiers, but his life ended as ‘Bhrashtachari No 1”. “Modi has lowered the dignity of the PMO by making derogatory and untrue remarks about the late Rajivji, who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation,” the statement signed by 207 teachers read. — PTI
