Hyderabad, April 30
The tussle between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and state Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam has taken a new turn with a large number of former bureaucrats coming to the aid of the Chief Secretary.
Several retired IAS officers, who are part of the Retired IAS Officers Forum of AP and Telangana, have made a representation to the joint AP and Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan expressing serious objections to the reported statement and “intemperate remarks” Naidu made against the Chief Secretary (CS) and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
Signed by 34 retired IAS officers of AP and Telangana, the representation was submitted to the Governor at Raj Bhavan by a delegation.
The AP Chief Minister has been critical of the ECI for replacing AP Chief Secretary Anil Punetha and accused the Chief Electoral Officer Gopalkrishna Dwivedi of working at the behest of some politicians at the Centre. — TNS
