What is your family background?

I am the only child of my parents, pampered and raised like a princess. We are a family of four — my mom, dad, grandmother and me. My father, who is a businessman now, was a photographer and I loved to get my pictures clicked by him.

How and when did you think of getting into acting?

I am a trained kathak dancer and we used to perform on stage, tell stories in the form of dance. I never really planned or thought of acting as a career. But like many people dream of becoming an actor in childhood, I also did the same, but never took it seriously. It just happed on its own.

What is your role in Muskaan?

The beauty of my character in Muskaan lies in its simplicity. She always stands by her principles and wouldn’t tolerate anything wrong. She is very simple girl, wears simple clothes and minimalistic jewellery.

How is your bonding with Ssharad Malhotra?

I think what bonds me with Ssharad is that I get good vibes from him. So that’s how we connect.

Being new in the industry, was it

difficult to deal with people?

In my life, I have never considered myself being new or old. I deal with people the way I want to.

Where is your hometown? What’s the most you miss about it?

My hometown is Rajkot. People in Rajkot are big-time foodies and so am I. I have my favourite spots in Rajkot. I miss that part.

Who are your favourite Bollywood stars?

Actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt are very good with their craft. Among the male actors, I love Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
