New Delhi: INS Ranjit, Indian Navy’s frontline missile destroyer of Russian origin, will be decommissioned on Monday after 36 years of service. Court imposes fine bigger than scam amount!
Mumbai: In a trail-blazing judgment, a Special CBI Court here has imprisoned a former Andhra Bank manager and four others to varying prison terms and imposed a total fine on them which is considerably higher than the fraud amount of Rs 2.30 crore they perpetrated on the bank, almost 10 years ago. The prime accused in the case, Rajendra M Patil, has been sentenced to life in jail with a whopping fine of Rs 3.13 crore, said a CBI official. IANS
YouTube touts first new original programme
New York: Alphabet Inc’s YouTube unveiled on Thursday nine new original programmes that will be available for free this year as the streaming service shrinks an effort to attract subscribers with content exclusively behind a paywall.
