The divine connection

Sheetal

Every morning she wakes up early, isolates herself from the world and connects with Waheguru with whom, she believes, her connection was never lost. Either by meditation or listening to shabad, hymn from the Sikhism’s scripture, she never fails to acknowledge the presence of the divine power in her life.

Krishika Lulla, a film producer-writer was here in the city for an upcoming music project of hers, which circles around Guru Nanak Dev, the first guru of the Sikh. The song under the project Waheguru is recorded in the voice of singer Bannet Dosanjh, one of the signed artistes of Eros Music, who won Rising Star in 2017, a live singing reality show.

“With this song I wish to highlight wondrous Guru Nanak Dev, who at the time of darkness inflicted by ignorance brought in the light of truth and enlightenment.” Only this time, she seemed highly sceptical of the shooting of the song and jumped into direction to assure that the song comes out well. “Even if I could get close to one per cent of how Guru Nanak is perceived by his believers, I would consider it a job well done.”

So, what is it that makes your song different from the one Diljit Dosanjh released last year? “There should be no competition. Anybody who has faith in Waheguru will understand that there exists various versions to it. I loved the song Aar Nanak Paar Nanak of the other Dosanjh.”
