New Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy courted controversy on the first day in office as he called Hyderabad a “safe terror zone”, inviting strong objection from Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
Reddy, elected from Secunderabad, said any terror incident in the country would have a link to Hyderabad. After his statement went viral, sources said, Home Minister Amit Shah pulled up Reddy. The AIMIM chief accused the BJP of having “hatred” for Muslims. — IANS
