NEW DELHI: In a bid to reduce travel time, the Indian Railways envisages increasing the speeds of trains on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah routes at an investment of over Rs 13,500 crore. It plans to increase the train speed to 160 kmph on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah routes in four years, reducing the travel time to 10 hours and 12 hours, respectively, from the current 15.5 and 17 hours. 809 posts vacant in Sanskrit varsities
NEW DELHI: Over 800 posts of teachers of the total 1,748 are lying vacant in Sanskrit universities and institutions funded by Central and state governments, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal told Lok Sabha on Monday. He said there are about 120 universities which offer Sanskrit as a subject or language while there are 15 Sanskrit universities, with three of them being deemed ones fully funded by the Central government.
