France’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Jean Baptiste Lemoyne arrives here tomorrow on an official visit. This is the first French ministerial visit after the formation of the new government.
Lemoyne’s visit will acknowledge the reinforcement of the Indo-French relationship besides laying the groundwork for the visit of PM Narendra Modi to France on the occasion of the G7 Summit in August 2019, said a French Embassy news release.
During his visit, he will call on Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar to discuss the further deepening of the Indo-French strategic partnership and its contribution to a more stable and sustainable world governance.
Lemoyne will also meet Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Hardeep Puri to discuss bilateral trade, investment and cooperation in the field of urban affairs.
Lemoyne will also attend a lunch and interact with top Indian business leaders, including CII President V Kirloskar and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee.
