Young Indian racer Arjun Maini will tick off a major motorsport milestone when he competes at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend. Maini will compete in the LMP2 category, which has 19 other entries, for British team RLR Msport.

Shivpal Singh registered a season-best throw of 80.87m in his third attempt to finish eighth in the nine-men field of the men's javelin throw event of the Diamond League. Johannes Vetter of Germany claimed the top spot with a throw of 85.27m. Magnus Kirt of Estonia (84.74m) and Chao-Tsun Cheng (84.30m) finished second and third, respectively.
