Bareilly: This time it is not criminals who are using the UP-Nepal open border to their advantage. It is the two wild elephants that have entered UP from Nepal and are wreaking havoc in the Terai region. The elephants, moving closer to Bareilly city, have killed five persons so far, besides damaging crops and creating panic. Nearly 150 experts have been called in from five states — Assam, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Rajasthan — to reign in the tuskers. Five female elephants have also been brought in to herd in the wild elephants and drive them back to Nepal. ians
