She met Hasan in Dubai through a common friend. The ceremony is expected to be a close-knit affair.
“Please respect our privacy. We don’t understand this frenzy as cross-border marriages are common in our area. Many of our relatives shifted to Pakistan during Partition. Marrying our daughters there is routine. We don’t want media attention,” said Arzoo’s uncle. The villagers, however, are thrilled. The local police has been put on the alert.
Hasan, 25, is a fast bowler with 9 tests and 53 ODIs to his credit. He was part of the Pakistan World cup Team.
I just wanna clarify my wedding is not confirmed yet, our families have yet to meet and decide upon it... will make a public announcement very soon in sha allah. — Hasan Ali tweeted
