Lamenting India’s weak “strategic culture” and failing to put in place a clear “national security aim”, former Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Arun Prakash (retd) today said, the country’s defence system needed to prepare and ready itself to deal with China and if “we do so” Pakistan would automatically be taken care of.
Delivering the 24th Prem Bhatia (A former Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune) Memorial Lecture titled “India’s contemporary security challenges”, Admiral Prkash said, “India should start shaping its own destiny and the fate in the region.”
