The BJP will hold a nationwide stir tomorrow to seek Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s apology for his “lies” on the Rafale jet deal issue.
Giving a clean chit to the Narendra Modi government in the matter, the Supreme Court yesterday refused to go back on its December 2018 order rejecting a probe into the controversial deal.
General secretary of the BJP Bhupender Yadav said Congress and Rahul Gandhi were “exposed” by the Supreme Court’s verdict and they should now tender an apology.
He also mocked Congress’s demand for a probe into the issue, noting that the court, in a unanimous verdict, had rejected the petitions seeking a probe in the purchase of Rafale fighter aircraft and also quashed the pleas for a review of its order.
