Pune: Money may make the world go round but it still can't tempt a 54-year-old man from Satara in Maharashtra to let go of his honesty. Dhanaji Jagdale, who makes ends meet by doing odd jobs, is earning praise from all quarters after he returned Rs 40,000 cash lying at a bus stop to its rightful owner. While the grateful man who got united with his money wanted to give Rs 1,000 as reward, Jagdale only accepted Rs 7 for bus fare to get to his native Pingali village in Satara, as he only had Rs 3 in his pocket at the time. Indian ships to ban single-use plastic

New Delhi: Come January 1, and Indian ships will prohibit on board a large number of single-use plastic products, including ice-cream containers, hot dish cups, microwave dishes and potato chips bags. The Directorate General of Shipping has come out with an order prohibiting a large number of single-use plastics in Indian and foreign ships in Indian waters from January 2, 2020. PTI 

Air purifier at Taj Mahal to tackle pollution 

Agra: As north India battles severe levels of pollution, state authorities have deployed an air purifier at the Taj Mahal to save the iconic monument, officials said on Sunday. The air purifier van deployed by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board has capacity to purify 15 lakh cubic metre air in eight hours within a 300 metre radius, they said. PTi

FICCI mourns demise of ex-chief KK Modi 

New Delhi: Industry body FICCI on Sunday expressed grief over the passing away of noted industrialist KK Modi. Modi Enterprises chairman and former FICCI president Modi (79) breathed his last on Saturday. Modi led FICCI in 1997 and was also president of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry from 2002 to 2006. PTI
