‘Fair & Handsome doesn’t belittle Fair & Lovely’

New Delhi: The Delhi HC has held that the TV ad of Emami’s fairness cream for men does not disparage Hindustan Unilever’s ‘Fair & Lovely’ cream. Justice Jayant Nath said prima facie it could not be concluded that Emami’s TV commercial sought to slander the goods of HUL. It also said the cream shown in the commercial did not resemble HUL’s product. The court listed the main suit for hearing on July 11. PTI

TikTok encourages porn, ban it: Madras HC

Chennai/New Delhi: The Madras HC has asked the Centre to ban the Chinese video mobile application TikTok, saying it ‘encourages pornography’ and is spoiling the future of youth. The court said inappropriate content was being provided by the app and the government had a social responsibility to stop it. The HC also issued an interim order to the Centre banning downloading of the app in India and restricted the media from telecasting videos taken using the app. TikTok said it was committed to abiding by local laws and regulations. ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ back on stage for 175th show

New Delhi: The 1960s cult classic, “Mughal-e-Azam”, will return to Delhi for its 175th show on Saturday at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Organised by BookMyShow, the theatrical musical retelling the iconic love story of Salim and Anarkali debuted in 2016. The show will continue to be staged till April 16. PTI
