Hyderabad, May 6
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has resumed effort to strengthen a non-BJP, non-Congress “federal front” in the absence of no party getting a clear mandate in the ongoing parliamentary election.
On a five-day tour, KCR will meet leaders of like-minded parties. KCR left for Kerala this morning, where he met Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at his residence and held discussions on post-poll scenario. He will later head to Tamil Nadu to meet DMK president MK Stalin.
Accompanied by family, KCR is clubbing pilgrimage with political work as he visited Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram.
The meeting assumes significance amid rumours that the Left parties are not averse to the idea of joining hands with regional parties. After a two-day stay in Kerala, he will visit temples in Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Madurai and Srirangam before returning to Hyderabad on May 11.
Sources in the CMO say KCR will fly back to Chennai on May 13 and meet DMK president MK Stalin. The two are already in consultation over the issue. Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy today called up KCR and is believed to have discussed the emerging political scenario in the country.
