Diljit Dosanjh, who made his Bollywood debut in 2016 with Udta Punjab, has two films lined up for release this year. The actor has now collaborated with Yami Gautam for the first time and the duo will be starring in a comedy film, which will mark the directorial debut of Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon.
Confirming the news, producer Ramesh Taurani says, “Yes, Diljit and Yami have given their nod to the film. It’s a fresh pair and we are excited because both are competent actors with impeccable comic timing. It is a sensible comedy and revolves around a couple.” He added that the film has an interesting story and will go on the floors in August. The movie is one of the last films penned by Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa’s screenplay writer Neeraj Vora, who passed away in 2017 after he had slipped into coma in October 2016. He had co-written the script along with Vibha Singh and Arshad Sayed.
Meanwhile, Diljit will be next seen in Arjun Patiala, alongside Kriti Sanon, and also in Good News.
