Kerala minister meets Vardhan, demands AIIMS

New Delhi: Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja today met Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and put forth the state's demand for an AIIMS. "The minister responded positively," she later said. The two also discussed containment measures for Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala where one positive case is under treatment for the disease and so far other suspects have tested negative. TNS

Hyderabad: Senior legislator and former minister Tammineni Sitaram will be the YSR Congress Party choice for the post of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker.
