Agartala: After Guwahati and Imphal, Agartala airport is set to become the third international airport in the north-eastern region by year-end or early 2020. The AAI has undertaken the Rs 438-crore project to upgrade the Agartala airport to international standards by providing world-class facilities. The airport is located 20 km north of the capital city and sits just along the Bangladesh border. IANS
Khadi share in textile production doubles
New Delhi: The share of khadi fabric in the total textile mill production has doubled to 8.49 per cent in five years to 2018-19, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission said on Tuesday. Chairman Vinai Kumar Saxena said the rise in fabric production from 4.23 per cent to 8.49 per cent could be possible due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's clarion call to adopt khadi. PTI
