Anurag Kashyap gets threat, files complaint

Mumbai: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap filed a police complaint with the cyber police station of the Mumbai Crime Branch after a person issued a threat on Twitter, an official said on Saturday, describing it as an ‘abusive one-line general threat’. Kashyap was among the film personalities who, on July 23, released a letter addressed to PM Narendra Modi over the rising incidents of mob violence and lynching in the country. The letter contended that the slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’ had become a ‘provocative war cry’, leading to law and order issues. PTI
