Gandhinagar, July 26
A judicial inquiry commission probing the mysterious death of two children in Ahmedabad school run by the Asaram ashram has given a clean chit to the controversial religious leader and his son Narayan Sai, both undergoing jail term on rape charges.
The Justice DK Trivedi Commission said there was no evidence of Asaram and his son having practised any "tantrik vidhi" (black magic) or having any hand in the mysterious death of Dipesh Vaghela (10) and his cousin Abhishek Vaghela (11). It suggested the duo could have died of "drowning" in the Sabarmati. — OC
