Section 144 imposed in parts of Hyderabad

Hyderabad, August 5

The Hyderabad police have imposed Section 144 of the CrPC that prohibits assembly of five or more people for meetings and rallies. Additional DGP (Law and Order) Jatinder said this had been done to maintain law and order in the city and some other places in Telangana where a backlash could take place.

The Centre has issued an advisory to all states and UTs to keep security agencies on high alert following scraping of Article 370. Telangana DGP M Mahender Reddy  the security had been beefed up and all preventive measures were being taken to prevent any untoward incident.
