Article 370 led to all ills: Manhas

BJP’s Rajya Sabha member from Jammu and Kashmir Shamsher Singh Manhas today attributed to Article 370 the decades of state’s problems, including terrorism and religious fundamentalism.

During the debate on the scrapping of Articles 35A and 370 and the bifurcation of the state into two UTs, he said, “The obnoxious provision was inserted into the Constitution through an instrument of subterfuge… It has been the genesis and reason for the propagation of terrorism,” Dual citizenship, two flags and two constitutions were gross anomalies that needed to be set right, he said. — TNS
