ISL: Hyderabad draw 1-1 against Bengaluru

HYDERABAD
An injury time strike by Robin Singh helped 10-man Hyderabad FC snatch a 1-1 draw against Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League match. A second minute goal from Sunil Chhetri looked enough for Bengaluru to pick three points before Robin scored against his former side at the death to help the home team pick an important point.

Sourabh in semis, Srikanth out of Modi International 
Sourabh Verma and Rituparna Das advanced to the semifinals but Kidambi Srikanth made an exit after losing in the quarterfinals of the Syed Modi International badminton tournament. Verma notched up a 21-19 21-16 win over Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the quarterfinals. However, Srikanth went down 18-21 19-21 to the seventh seeded South Korean for his seventh loss in 11 meetings between them. In the women’s singles, Rituparna overcame Shruti Mundada 24-26 21-10 21-19 in an all-Indian quarterfinals.

Sachin, Laxman set to 
return to CAC
Indian cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman are set to return to the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) to be formed on Saturday, months after resigning from their posts due to conflict of interest allegations. According to a top BCCI official, Tendulkar and Laxman who both had resigned in July will resume their roles in the CAC.
