Congress president Sonia Gandhi will tomorrow meet all AICC general secretaries and state unit in charge to plan a strategy to corner the government on the deteriorating economic situation.
AICC general secretary for JK Ambika Soni said the meeting’s agenda was to discuss ways to draw government’s attention to the prevailing economic mess and mobilising people around it.
“We are going to discuss the national plan to agitate against the proposed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership PM Narendra Modi is expected to sign in Thailand next week. Then there are other issues around economy,” said Soni. All senior leaders will hold press conferences across the country. Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to state unit presidents to hold protests in state and district capitals. The Congress has deployed 31 observers to ensure agitations take place.
