Congress expels 14 rebel MLAs of Karnataka
New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday expelled 14 rebel MLAs, who were responsible for bringing down the party’s coalition government with the JDS in Karnataka. The Congress said it was expelling the 14 MLAs, who had already been disqualified by the Assembly Speaker. They are Pratap Gowda Patil, BC Patil, Shivram Hebbar, ST Somashekar, Byrati Basavaraj, Anand Singh, Roshan Baig, Munirathna, K Sudhakar, MTB Nagaraj, Shrimant Patil, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Mahesh Kumatalli and Shankar. UP Govt transfers principal secy home, 25 other IAS officers
Lucknow: The UP Government transferred 26 IAS officers, including Principal Secretary (Home) Arvind Kumar, in a late night reshuffle on Tuesday. Kumar was transferred to the Transport Department and Additional Chief Secretary (Information) Awanish Awasthi was made Additional Chief Secretary (Home). Awasthi is now the additional chief secretary of information, religious works, home, intelligence, visa passport, jail administration and reforms and vigilance department. PTI
