Toxic fumes kill 5 in UP

Lucknow, November 1

Six persons fell into a sewage tank during a cleaning operation today of which five later succumbed to poisoning due to toxic fumes. One person is under treatment at the community health centre.

The incident occurred at Katghara Patti village under the Dostpur police station at the house of Ram Teerath where an old sewage tank was being renovated without removing the gas pipe. CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his heartfelt condolences for aggrieved family. — TNS
